    My dad lived in Tucson and died June 22, 2018.  He was the inspiration for this website – a historian who augmented his collection of Westerner memorabilia with personal history.

    My grandfather was born in Chicago, served in the Army during World War II, and worked in the family novelty machine business. The gum, pinball, and slot machines were sold to restaurants and bars in Illinois and Indiana. In 1954 he became part owner of the Westerner.
